Course Information:

The course is ~ 12 miles a lap at the Loyston Point Mountain Bike Trails, located on the shores of beautiful Norris Lake.  The race course will utilize the Mill Creek and Loyston Loop trails, which are well known for their well draining soil.  The route is fast, flowing and about as much fun as you can have on a Mountain Bike!  Strava Route  or Map

Parking at start/finish area may be limited, so please plan to drop your supplies near the start/finish area and park elsewhere in the park (please do not block the boat ramp).

Schedule:

Saturday 5/18/24:

  • 8:30 am – Onsite check-in opens for 6-hour racers
  • 9:50 am – Mandatory racer’s meeting for all 6-hour racers
  • 10:00 am – Race start for 6-hour racers
  • 12:00 pm – Onsite check-in opens for 3-hour racers
  • 12:50 pm – Mandatory racer’s meeting for all 3-hour racers
  • 1:00 pm – Race start for 3-hour racers 
  • 4:00 pm – Race ends for 3 and 6 hour racers – riders must complete last lap by this time for it to count
  • 4:15 pm – Podium Presentations

Camping Details:

Beautiful lake front camping on Norris Lake is available literally steps from the start/finish area at the Loyston Point Campground.  Sites fill quickly so book sooner than later.  

If the Loyston campground is full there is also close camping at Anderson County Park and Big Ridge State Park.

Additional Endurance Race Info/Rules:

  1. These races are not USAC sanctioned so no licenses are required.
  2. All the 6-Hour races will be a mass start at 10 am and the 3-Hour races will follow with a mass start at 1 pm.  All racers must complete their last lap within six/three hours respectively.  No bonus laps!
  3. All Duo team racers must tag their teammate in designated transition area.  The only exception is if a rider has a medical or mechanical emergency on the trail; if this is the case, the waiting rider must notify a race official before the on-course transition can happen.
  4. For Duo teams, each racer must complete a minimum of 1 lap to be scored.
  5. All racers must set-up tents and park cars in designated areas only.
  6. Winners must collect payout and/or prizes on race day.  The promoter will not mail awards to racers.
  7. No Refunds will be given unless an event is completely canceled.
